The National Action for Quality Education in Zambia (NAQEZ) has welcomed the initiative by the Loan’s Board to begin to recover loans which were acquired by students from the University of Zambia and Copperbelt University.
NAQEZ Executive Director Aaron Chansa has observed that once the beneficiaries of the students Loan scheme begin to pay back other vulnerable Zambians will also benefit and realize their dreams.
Mr Chansa has since appealed to beneficiaries of the loans to be patriotic enough and pay back the funds in order to allow other Zambians attain university education.
Meanwhile, Mr Chansa has appealed to government to extend the loan scheme to students in all tertiary institutions including those in private universities.
