ZESCO URGED TO INSTALL A NEW TRANSFORMER IN JOHN LAING COMPOUND

BY BOSTON MUVWANGA
Residents of John Laing Compound have reiterated calls on the power utility firm (Zesco) to replace the small voltage transformer with a bigger one.
The residents have observed that the installation of a transformer with a bigger voltage capacity will help address the persistent power black-outs that the area has been experiencing.
One of the residents, only identified as Mrs. Mwale told Komboni Radio News that the area has continued to experience power outages even after the installation of a new transformer.
Mrs. Mwale has lamented that most of the residents perishable food stuffs have gone to waste owing to the persistent power outages.
She also complained that business has also been negatively affected.
