Kabwata Ward Councilor Longa Chiboboka has disclosed that the street naming exercise is his ward will commence in the first week of November.
And Councilor Chiboboka has stated that he will ensure that the street naming exercise is extended to all the unnamed roads in the ward.
The civic leader adds that his office will also ensure that all houses in the ward have visible house numbers for easy identification in case of emergencies.
He disclosed that the road to be named first is the one which runs from St. Patrick’s primary School to Tokyo way.
Residents of Kabwata Ward have been calling on the civic leadership in that area to facilitate the street naming exercise.
Meanwhile, Mr. Chiboboka has also indicated that the street-lighting on the newly constructed roads in his area will commence next year.
