RESIDENTS BEMOAN ALLEGED POOR SERVICE DELIVERY AT CHILENJE LEVEL ONE HOSPITAL

BY RUTH MUMBA
Residents of Lusaka’s Chilenje Township have bemoaned the alleged poor service delivery by some medical staff at Chilenje level 1 hospital.
Ms Annie Mawere has complained to Komboni radio news that health care delivery services at the Chilenje level 1 hospital leaves much to be desired and implored the ministry of health to ensure that service delivery at the said hospital is improved.
She said that patients spend hours in long queues before being attended to, a situation she says puts the lives of patients at risk.
Another resident Mary Mwalanga also complained of the poor state of the toilets at the hospital and appealed to the hospital management to ensure hygiene standards at the hospital are improved.
Efforts to get a comment from the hospital management and the Lusaka district medical office failed by press time.
