Residents of Lusaka’s Chingwere compound have called upon the Lusaka City Council to curb the indiscriminate disposal of garbage at the Chingwere dump site.
Speaking in an interview with Komboni Radio news, the residents complained that some unscrupulous individuals have continued to dump their waste outside the dump site.
Amos Chewe has since advised the council to start prosecuting people who will be found littering in undesignated places to serve as lesson to other would be offenders.
