A 38 year old employee of Good Steel Limited has died after he was hit by an old railway wagon wheel while on duty.
The deceased who has been identified as Steta Lifwano met his fate around 01 hours while he was doing his night shift.
Confirming the development to Komboni Radio News, Company Human Resource Manager Brian Kapembwa said the deceased who has worked for Good Steel Company for 10 years met his fate while he was in the scrap metal yard.
Mr Kapembwa narrated that during the process of heaping the scrap metal; an old railway wagon wheel disengaged from the heap and hit the deceased on the chest.
He victim was later rushed Matero Level One hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The body has since been deposited into the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
