Kalingalinga Ward 31 councilor Chomba Kasongo says the removal of skip bins in Kalingalinga Compound has helped improved waste management in that community.
Mr Chomba tells Komboni Radio News that most household have now been captured and are subscribing for the door to door garbage collection.
Mr. Chomba explains that initially over 600 household were evading to subscribe for garbage collection a situation that had led to indiscriminate disposal of waste.
The civic leader also disclosed that his office has engaged sanitation marshals who are going door to door sensitizing people on the importance of proper waste management.
