Raphael Chota ward 22 Councilor Joseph Tamba has assured residents in his ward that the local authority will soon install street lights in the community.
Mr Tamba has told Komboni Radio News that once installed, the street lights will enhance security in the area.
He has noted with concern that criminals have taken advantage of the darkness at night to ambush unsuspecting members of the public.
The civic leader says it is against this background that his office is soliciting for funds to light up the streets.
Mr Tamba has since disclosed that the local authority will prioritize the installation of street lights from Kasangula road through to Kabanana where the clinic is located.
