NEW CHAWAMA RESIDENTS BEMOAN DILAPIDATED STATE OF ROADS

Residents of Lusaka’s New Chawama Compound have expressed concern over the dilapidated state of township roads in that community.

In an interview with Komboni Radio News, the residents singled out the Anglican Church road as the road that needs urgent attention.

Ms Charity Kashiba complained that the said road is in a dilapidated state making it difficult for motorists and residents to drive through.

She has wondered why it has taken too long to work on the roads despite many assurances from their civic leaders.

The residents have since pleaded with the area councilor to work on the roads before the onset of the rains.

And efforts to get a comment from the area councilor Leonard Sikombe failed by broadcast time.
