An unidentified security guard working for Antelope Milling in Luanshya district on the Copperbelt Province has been murdered by unknown people.
The deceased was found dead at his guard station at an Antelope milling outlet in Mikomfwa Township.
Luanshya District Commissioner Joel Chibuye confirmed the incidence to ZANIS adding that, the body of the deceased is laying in Thompson District Hospital Mortuary.
Mr Chibuye said the deceased was discovered by his colleague who was manning another part of the same outlet.
He indicated that it was strange that nothing was stolen from the premises adding that, the motive for murdering the security guard was questionable.
The Luanshya DC who did not identify the deceased person said the victim was aged between 45 and 50 years.
Mr Chibuye described the incidence as unfortunate and sounded a warning to perpetrators.
He said police has since launched an investigation into the matter.
