A 48 year old man of Matinangala area in Siavonga District has been murdered by unknown people.
Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama, who confirmed the development to Komboni Radio News, said that Panoti Chisinze 48 was murdered by unknown people around 19 hours yesterday in Matinangala area in Chief Simamba’s chiefdom.
Mr Kanyama explained that the deceased who was at the time of his death Patriotic Front (PF) Siavonga District Chairperson was stabbed in the stomach as he was coming from the shops in Matinangala area.
He explained that the victim managed to run away after being stabbed to seek refuge from members of the public who later picked him up and rushed him to Siavonga Hospital.
The Siavonga DC has since called on the Police to investigate the matter and arrest the offenders for the gruesome murder.
Mr Kanyama says he is confident police will arrest all the suspects behind the killing of Mr Chisinze before the burial.
