Residents of Kanyama compound near the water trust have bemoaned the continued indiscriminate disposal of garbage in the area by some residents.
Mwansa Muyunda has disclosed to Komboni Radio News that some unscrupulous people sneak into these premises at night to dump garbage a situation he says is posing danger to the health of residents.
Mr. Muyunda has since called upon the local leadership to put up a garbage disposal bin in the area as it has proved to be difficult to stop the illegal dumping of waste at these premises due to lack of garbage bins.
Another concerned resident only identified as Cathy said the place is now becoming an eyesore to the community as garbage keeps on reoccurring despite efforts being made by the local authority to clear the garbage.
