Traders at Chibolya market have appealed to the ministry of Local government to expand the fish trading centre in that area.
And Mr James Shawa expressed concern over the poor sanitary conditions prevailing at the market, stating that this is discouraging people who want to set up refrigeration facilities there.
Another trader only identified as N’guni also expressed concern over the porous security situation at the market.
He lamented that people are being attacked at night and called for increased police patrols around the market in order to prevent loss of lives and property.
