A concerned resident of government farms area in Chunga Township has expressed concern over the escalating criminal activities in that community.
Mrs Rose Banda has disclosed to a Komboni Radio news crew that visited the community today that a group of criminals has invaded the community and is stealing household property and snatching phones from unsuspecting members of the community at night.
Mrs Banda has however attributed the increase in criminal activities to lack of employment in the country and has urged the government to come up with the empowerment programs for the seemingly frustrated young people.
She has also called on the police high command to intensify night patrols in order to safe guard the lives of citizens
