Traders at Tiyende Pamodzi Market in Mandevu constituency have appealed to government to upgrade the trading area.
In an interview with Komboni radio news, the traders said there is need for government to consider expanding and modernizing the market in order to accommodate the growing number of traders.
Ms Jane Kalemba has since appealed to the area councilor to facilitate for the construction of a modern market shelter as traders face challenges during the rainy season.
And Tiyende Pamodzi Market Committee Vice Chairman Rabson Sakala who also echoed the same sentiment said there is need for the government to construct a modern market in order to allow traders conduct their businesses in a conducive environment.
