Another cow has been killed by a lion that crossed into Siavonga district from neighbouring Zimbabwe last week.

 Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama who confirmed the development to Komboni Radio News says the latest incident was recorded yesterday in Chaanga area of Chief Sinadambwe’s village.

Mr Kanyama also disclosed that the same lion was spotted last night around 19:30 hours on the main Siavonga road heading to Game Compound near Siavonga Town.

The number of cows that have so far been killed by the said Lion has now increased to four.

Meanwhile, Mr Kanyama has reiterated his appeal to Siavonga residents to mind their day to day movements and ensure that School going children are accompanied to school in view of the lion that has crossed into the district from Zimbabwe.

And Mr Kanyama has appealed to the Zambia Police Service to reinforce man power and bring down the said Lion that officers from the Department of Nation Wildlife Authority have been hunting for the past seven days.

Last week, a Lion from neighbouring Zimbabwe is said to have crossed into Siavonga district where it has so far killed four cows.
