Governance activist Leslie Chikuse says there is nothing wrong with Chief Mukuni and Hamusonde for questioning President Edgar Lungu’s nationality.
Mr Chikuse says the two traditional leaders should not be condemned for questioning the nationality of President Lungu as it is their constitutional right to know the heritage and true identity of any head of state.
He says there was nothing political that was said from the two traditional leaders when they asked President Lungu to explain his origins.
Mr Chikuse who is also Republican Progressive Party (RPP) Vice President has since asked president Lungu to tell the nation his side of the story to shame those doubting his nationality.
He has noted with concern that the continued debate over president Lungu’s nationality has the potential to derail development in the country hence the need for President Lungu break his silence and bring that matter to bed.
