Kamwala ward 5 Councilor Moses Bwalya has warned of stern action against vendors who have gone back to trade along the rail line.
Mr Bwalya has since appealed to vendors to go back and trade in designated places stating that anyone who will be found in the streets will be arrested and prosecuted in the Fast track court.
The civic leader also expressed dismay at the amount of garbage that has accumulated in the Bombay drainage currently under construction.
Councilor Bwalya says it is unfortunate that some unscrupulous people have started throwing garbage in the newly constructed drain even bemoaned the works are completed.
Meanwhile, Mr Bwalya has disputed claims that the local authority is charging exorbitant fees for people to acquire trading space at Tokyo way market where displaced vendors are expected to be accommodated.
