An unknown woman has dumped a body of a full grown baby at the Chunga dumpsite.
Lusaka City Council Public Relations Manager George Sichimba who disclosed the development to Komboni Radio News that the body was discovered yesterday around 16 hours by workers at the dumpsite wrapped in a chitenge material bundled together with garbage.
Mr Sichimba says the discovery was made as one of the trucks belonging to a franchise contractor was dumping waste collected from a named township.
Mr Sichimba explained that upon dumping the waste, workers became suspicious of what could have been wrapped in a chitenge with a shape like that of a baby.
He says the chitenge material was then unwrapped only for the workers from both LCC and franchise contractor to be treated to a rude shock of the dead body of full grown baby.
The LCC Public Manager says the matter was immediately reported to Chunga Police Post and the body was later taken to UTH mortuary.
