Residents of Linda compound have expressed concern over the continued abuse of alcohol and drugs by underage children.
The residents say it is unfortunate that underage children are patronizing bars and engaging in illicit activities at the expense of learning in School.
A resident identified as Richard Ngoma has since advised parents to guide and monitor the movements of their children in order to ensure that stay away from bad vices.
And Mr Ngoma has appealed to the local authority to engage in periodic monitoring of bars in the community to ensure that they do not allow underage children to patronize their premises.
And efforts to get a comment from Mukolo ward councillor Bupe Mulenga proved futile as her mobile phone went unanswered.
