A civic leader from Chibombo district in central province has advised social cash transfer beneficiaries to prudently use the funds to improve their livelihoods.
Chikobo ward councilor Reagan Mubatsa has disclosed to Komboni Radio news that he has received information that some beneficiaries of Social Cash Transfer funds are using the money to buy alcohol and other luxurious items.
Mr MUBATSA has since advised people on the social cash transfer scheme to prudently use the funds stating that government is spending a lot of money on the program.
He has also called on traditional leaders to sensitize their subjects on the Social Cash Transfer Fund and how the money should be used.
