CHAISA RESIDENTS CALL FOR THE UPGRADE OF THE LOCAL POLICE POST

BY OSCAR NKUWA

Residents of Chaisa compound have repeated calls on the authorities to construct a Police Station in that area.

Mr Francis Mulenga says there is need for the authorities to construct a bigger police station as the current one is too small to fight crime in the area.

Another resident Osborne Mutale has castigated some police officers at the local police post for allegedly engaging in unprofessional behaviour on duty.

He alleged that some police officers have a tendency of patronizing bars in their uniforms.

And when contacted, Chaisa ward 20 councilor Ruth Phiri says her office and the Ward Development Committee has engaged the relevant authorities on the need to upgrade Chaisa Police Post into a Police Station.
