Kabwata ward 6 Councilor Longa Chiboboka has urged residents and traders to embrace the Make Zambia Clean Campaign that was recently launched by President Edgar Lungu.
Mr Chiboboka says it is the responsibility of every individual to ensure that the environment is clean.
In an interview with Komboni Radio News, Mr Chiboboka charged that the Make Zambia Clean Campaign should start at household level if the change is to be realized.
He says people should change their mindset of thinking that it is only the responsibility of the council to clean the environment.
The civic leader has since urged traders to desist from dumping garbage in undesignated areas.
