Residents of Kabwata site and service have complained of the stench eminating from the blocked septic tanks behind Kabwata market.
Ms Mercy Chilewa complained that the septic tanks have been blocked for a long time now without any serious measures being taken by the authorities to unblock them.
Ms Chilewa laments that the smell is becoming unbearable adding that this is posing danger to the health of residents.
Another resident who declined to be named has wondered why the authorities are taking long to unblock the septic tanks despite numerous complaints from the residents.
