A senior citizen has expressed concern at the alleged Police brutality and has called for immediate end to this.
Reacting to concerns from residents over the alleged aggressive beating of suspects at a named police station in Lusaka, Mr Dante Saunders said police officers should not use excessive force in dealing with suspects in custody.
Mr Saunders has alleged that the inclusion of suspected political party cadres in the service has tarnished the image of the police service in the country.
About 48 suspects are said to have been brutalized while in custody after it was reported that they had beaten a fellow suspect who later became unconscious in the same holding cells.
