A critical water crisis has hit Ndola’s Mushili Township.

Residents of Mushili Township have gone for two weeks without water supply.

And Bwana Mkubwa Member of Parliament Dr Jonas Chanda has expressed fear that if the situation is not rectified, there might be an outbreak of Cholera in the Township.

In an interview with Komboni Radio News, Dr Chanda has noted with concern that the severe water shortage in the area might result in the outbreak of Cholera and other waterborne diseases.

The lawmaker has also expressed disappointment that the Kafubu Water and Sewerage Company has not explained to the residents of Mushili Township and other surrounding areas why they have not had water supply for 2 weeks now.

Dr Chanda has since asked the water utility firm to rectify the situation and ensure that they provide residents with clean water for domestic usage.
