PRESIDENT LUNGU DIRECTS LOCAL GOVERNMENT MINISTER TO FIND ALTERNATIVE TRADING PLACE FOR COMESA TRADERS

President Edgar has directed Local Government Minster Vincent Mwale and Lusaka Province Minster Bowman Lusambo to quickly find an attentive trading place for the traders who have lost property at the gutted COMESA market.
President Lungu stressed that temporarily trading area should have all necessary amenities such as toilets.
Speaking after he toured the burnt market, President Lungu charged that government will leave no stone unturned in trying to find the cause of the fire.
The head of state has since appealed to Zambians to learn from the fire accidents that have been witnessed recently and ensure that construct better stores with access roads for emergency vehicles.
President Lungu expressed disappointment at the failure by the fire fighters to put out the fire on time due to lack of access roads for the fire engines.
