Some traders of Mtendere market have implored the relevant authorities to urgently remove the garbage near a named meat product outlet in that area.
Speaking to Komboni radio news, the traders complained that garbage has accumulated at the market near the shops which sell meat products as it has remained uncollected for some months now.
And Anne Mwaba who sells opposite the garbage heap said customers shun from buying her food products because of the stench that emanates from there.
She complained that despite traders paying 5 kwacha each to the council for the removal of the garbage, nothing has been done to date.
