Residents of Mazyopa compound have appealed for the construction of social amenities in that area.
The residents say there is need for government to consider constructing social amenities such as a Police Post, health centre and a government school.
The residents lamented that there has been an increase in crime levels as thieves have taken advantage of the absence of police presence in Mazyopa compound.
The residents also complained that they are forced to cover long distances to Chipata Level One Hospital in order to access health care services.
The inhabitants have since appealed to their area councilor to lobby government for developmental projects in the community.
