KAMWALA CROSS BOARDER TRADERS BEMOAN EXORBITANT TAXES

Women Cross Boarder Traders in Kamwala trading centre have bemoaned the exorbitant tax being charged on imported goods by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA).

And the women cross boarder traders have called on President Edgar Lungu to intervene in the matter before they become destitute.

The women have complained to Komboni Radio News that the duty being demanded by ZRA is too huge for most of them to afford.

They have lamented that if the trend continues, a lot of women cross boarders traders most of them who are windows will be forced out of business as they cannot afford to pay the exorbitant duty being demanded by the Revenue Authority.

They further complained that most of the trucks with their goods are being detained at the boarders while those owned by foreign companies are passing through without being checked by the authorities.

They have since pleaded with the republican head of state to intervene and ensure that the Zambia Revenue Authority revise their tax charges.
