CHAISA RESIDENTS BEMOAN POOR SANITARY CONDITIONS AT CHAISA POLICE POST

Residents of Chaisa compound have expressed concern over the unpleasant sanitary conditions at Chaisa police post.
Francis Mulenga says inmates are forced to use a plastic container inside the police cells to answer the call of nature as the pit latrine at the premises is full.
Another resident Ackson Tembo says the police cells at Chaisa police post are always congested and filthy posing a danger of a disease outbreak amongst the inmates.
Mr. Tembo has since appealed to the police command to consider shutting down the police post and find other means of policing the community.
Efforts to get the civic leadership in the area proved futile by broadcast time as phones went unanswered.
