A 33 year old woman of Lusaka’s Kanyama compound has allegedly been murdered by her husband after a marital dispute.
The deceased who has been identified as Rosemary Nyambe of an unknown house number in old Kanyama compound sustained a deep cut on the lower left eye and a bruised back.
Acting Police spokesperson Danny Mwale who disclosed the development to Komboni Radio News said an iron bar is suspected to have been used in the act.
Mr Mwale said the incident occurred on Tuesday November 7, 2017 at around 19 hours in old kanyama.
He said the deceased is believed to have been four months pregnant at the time of her death.
The body is lying in the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Police have since launched a manhunt for the suspect who has been identified as Boas Mukanzu who is currently on the run.
