The Zambia National Union of Teachers (ZNUT) says the 2000 teachers that government has announced to recruit before the end of this year is not enough.
Speaking in an interview with Komboni radio news, ZNUT Director for Public and International Relations Joe Kasaka charged that the number of teachers that government intends to recruit is too small compared to the current teacher-pupil ratio.
Mr Kasaka has since advised government to consider increasing the number of teacher’s to be recruited this year especially that they are a lot of graduates who are still on the streets waiting to be recruited by the government.
