Residents of Kansuswa township in Mufulira District on the Copperbelt province are growing increasingly concerned with ZESCO’s failure to resolve ongoing power outages which has continued to affects small medium enterprise businesses.

In an interview with komboni news, Local business owners have lamented the unreliable power supply which has severely impacted their ability to operate their businesses

Josephine Namukwasa has emphasized the critical need for consistent electricity, noting that local millers have been forced to operate late into the night due to power outages.

She has urged government to intervene and address the power issues affecting the community, highlighting the unfairness of Kansuswa residents not receiving power like other areas.

Meanwhile Mufulira Member of Parliament Golden Mwila has assured Kansuswa residents that ZESCO is working to restore power schedule to their area.

Mr. Mwila has since urged Kansuswa residents to remain patient as the situation is addressed.
