Two Suspects Arrested For Stealing Pumps Valued at K50,000

Two suspects in Mufulira District have been arrested by Police for allegedly stealing two solar submissive pumps and 200 meters submissive cables valued at K50,000 from Kasaria Eco Village Mufulira.

Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba has identified the suspects as Christopher Bwalya aged 25 of House number BC 271 kamuchanga and Kelvin Mofya aged 25 years of plot number 154 new kansunswa.

Details of the matter are that the site supervisor of Mufulira Eco Village knocked off from duty leaving everything well secured and intact.

But upon reporting for duty on 9th January, 2025, he was surprised to be informed by one of the staff members that unknown people had stolen the items in question.

Police visited the crime scene which led to the apprehension of two former employees from their residence where Police recovered the said stolen items.
