A 2-year-old girl of Mwenye area in Ndola’s Twapia compound has been defiled by the stepfather identified as Vinamu Kuyela aged 24 years of age.

The incident which was reported to Twapia Police Station on 22nd December, 2024 around 16:30hrs by the victim’s grandmother–Evelyn Mulenga aged 41 years stated that the victim, aged 2 years and 2 months was sexually abused by her step father of an unmarked house number in Mwenye area, Twapia township.

The incident is said to have occurred on Saturday 21st December, 2024 at an unknown time but between 21:00hrs and 23:00hrs.

Brief facts are that the victim’s mother, Delia Chanda aged 19, on Saturday 21st December, 2024 at about 21:00 hours left the victim in custody of her husband and went to the market to make some mobile transactions.

In her absence the assailant took advantage to defile the toddler where she sustained a swollen vagina and bleeding from the vagina.

A Medical report was issued to the victim and docket of case opened.

No arrest have been made as the assailant is at large, meanwhile, the victim is currently admitted to Arthur Davison Children’s Hospital as investigations are underway.
