Ndola District Commissioner Joseph Phiri has expressed happiness over the USAID’s ECAP-1 project’s approach of using a family-centred approach to mitigate impact of HIV/AIDS and Gender Based Violence (GBV).
Speaking when he graced a roadshow and community engagement at Masala’s Kapala market in Ndola on the Copperbelt, Mr Phiri noted the goal of the program is to mitigate the impact of HIV and improve the health and wellbeing of GBV survivors and vulnerable children and adolescents through the delivery of high-impact, evidence-informed, and age-appropriate interventions customized using a family-centred approach.
And the Ndola District director of health Lillian Nyendwa, represented by a Public Health Specialist, Naomi Kasanda said the project was using a holistic approach that addresses the economic, social, and health needs of the whole family.
ZCCP-KWATU representative Dudu Vitalisa Muzyamba said her organisation does not work in isolation hence they are partnering with ECAP-1 during the roadshow to reach out to boys, girls and adults including traditional leaders as their target.
