A Komboni News crew visited the Central Business District following some light showers on Thursday afternoon and observed that many mobile money operators had abandoned their booths in search of shelter. One operator mentioned that their business has been negatively impacted since their booths were removed and stated that coping with the rainy season will be challenging.
Another mobile money operator expressed that these difficulties would adversely affect the home economics of those who have families depending on their earnings. He further requested that the government consider providing employment opportunities for those affected.Thursday afternoon found most mobile money operators had abandoned their tables seeking shelter.
