Mobile Money Operators Express Worry As the Rainy Season Intensifies.

Mobile money operators in the Central Business District of Ndola District in the Copperbelt Province have expressed worry about how to continue operating after the rainy season.

A Komboni News crew that went around the Central Business District after some light showers on Mobile money operators in the Central Business District of Ndola, located in the Copperbelt Province, have expressed concerns about how to continue their operations after the rainy season.

A Komboni News crew visited the Central Business District following some light showers on Thursday afternoon and observed that many mobile money operators had abandoned their booths in search of shelter. One operator mentioned that their business has been negatively impacted since their booths were removed and stated that coping with the rainy season will be challenging.

Another mobile money operator expressed that these difficulties would adversely affect the home economics of those who have families depending on their earnings. He further requested that the government consider providing employment opportunities for those affected.Thursday afternoon found most mobile money operators had abandoned their tables seeking shelter. One of the operators spoke to stated that their business has been negatively affected since the time their booths were removed and said that coping with the rainy season will be tough.

And another mobile money operator lamented that this will negatively trickle down to the home economics of those who have families depending on them.

He further requested the government to consider employing some of these affected.
