Armed Robbers Attack Security Guards, Steal Property Worth K14,800

Police in Ndola District through Chifubu Police Station recorded a report of aggravated robbery on Sunday which was reported at Pamodzi Market Police Post by Norbert Ngosa aged 55 of hse Number 1315 Kawama Township, a Security guard at Sathya Sai Boys Secondary school that a group of unknown criminals armed with unknown type of firearm and iron bars attacked him and his colleague Fanell Mazabuka aged 35 whilst they were on duty and stole one Genset valued at K12,000, one bicycle make valued at K2,000, one office calculator valued at K200 and two cellphones valued at K600.

Copperbelt Province Police Commissioner Peacewell Mweemba told Komboni News that the incident occurred at around 01:00 hours at Sathya Sai Boys School in Kawama Township with facts being that two guards had reported on duty on Saturday evening at 18:00 hours, whilst on duty In the early hours of Sunday 2024 at around 01:00 hours they were attacked and tied on both hands and legs, After being tied the criminals went on to break into three offices and stole the mentioned property.

Mr Mweemba added that one of the Security guards; Funwell Mazabuka aged 35 was badly beaten and he sustained painful pelvis, shoulders, backache, bruised left cheek and general body pains.

He revealed that metal bars were used to inflict the injuries on him and was taken to Ndola Teaching Hospital where he was admitted.

The Copperbelt Police Boss added that a docket was opened, and no recoveries and arrests have been made so far
