Unidentified Man Murdered in Kitwe, Body Found with Injuries and Oil Traces

An unknown male believed to be aged between 25 and 30 years has been murdered by unknown persons in Kitwe district on the Copperbelt Province.

Confirming the development to Komboni News, Copperbelt Province Police Commissioner Pathias Siandenge said the unfortunate incident occured between the 16th of May, 2025 during an unknown time and May 17th, 2025 around 07:00.

Mr Siandenge explained upon a physical inspection being conducted, the body of the deceased was found lying naked on the middle of the road and upon physical inspection of the body, it was also observed that the whole body was smeared with oil,a swollen face, deep cuts on both legs and bruises on the body.

He further said traces of oil and blood were observed where the victim was being dragged along the road.

The Copperbelt Police Boss said people in the area were interviewed and said that they just heard a group of people around 02:00 hrs shouting that a thief and was armed with a knife, However no one came out to see what was actually happening.

The body was taken to Kitwe Teaching Hospital Mortuary awaiting for identification and postmortem.
