Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Pathias Siandenge has confirmed a reported case of aggravated robbery at Farm Depot Shop in Luangwa Township, Kitwe.
Mr. Siandenge tells komboni news that, that the incident occurred on May 20, 2025, around 01:00 hours.
He disclosed that three unknown criminals armed with iron bars attacked the security guard, Emmanuel Bwalya Kapambwe, aged 67, from Guardall Security Company, who was manning the shop.
He says the suspects tied the guard’s hands and legs before breaking into the shop and stealing various veterinary products valued at K18,568.00.
Mr. Siandenge listed the stolen items, which included Broiler Booster, Chick Starter, Introvit, Sulfadimidine WS, Tetroxy Chick, Carrots Kuroda, Onion Red Creole, Rape English Giant, Tomato Tengere Select, and other products.
He furrther stated that, some of the stolen property was recovered, valued at K14,998.00, as were found dumped in boxes.
Meanwhile, Mr. Siandenge assured the public that investigations are ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward and assist in investigations.
The security guard, Kapambwe, was not seriously injured apart from pains from being tied.
