Mindset Change Zambia Executive Director Geoffrey Musonda has expressed concern over the manner in which local authorities are handling the Constituency Development Fund (CDF)across the country.

Mr. Musonda’s remarks come after local authorities recently appeared before the Public Accounts Committee to explain their utilization of the CDF, revealing misappropriation of funds.

The revelations have raised questions about the accountability and transparency of local authorities in managing public resources.

And speaking in an interview with Komboni news, Mr. Musonda emphasized the need for improved governance and oversight to ensure that CDF funds are used effectively and efficiently for the benefit of constituents.

He says CDF is intended to support development projects at the local level, but the misappropriation of funds undermines the potential impact of these initiatives.
