Charity for Climate Action Reserve and Education (C-CARE) Executive Director Reuben Kaulu has emphasized the need for significant investment in improved sanitation and wastewater treatment.
In an interview with Komboni news, Mr. Kaulu noted that without such investments, disease outbreaks will persist as a major public health risk.
He says poor sanitation exacerbates climate vulnerability by polluting water sources, reducing soil fertility, and threatening food security.
Mr. Kaulu further stressed the importance of integrating climate-smart sanitation approaches.
