Lead Foundation Executive Director Lucky Kalunga has expressed worry over the revelation of the teenage pregnancies in Kasenengwa district which have been estimated to be over 700 for the second and third quarters of 2024.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Komboni News, Mr Kalunga attributed the striking figures of teenage pregnancies to harmful traditional practices, lack of sensitisation and a lack of sexual reproductive services in the area.
Mr Kalunga has since appealed to traditional leaders to harmonize traditional laws with the laws that protect Children from vices such as early marriages and has called on government to see to it that there is an increased number of centers offering sexual reproductive health information and services.
