Fueling Stations in Compounds Irks Residents

Residents of various compounds in Lusaka have bemoaned the rise in the construction of fueling stations in residential areas.

Daniel Bwalya told Komboni Radio News in an interview that it is disheartening to see the influx in fueling stations being opened close to people’s homes a situation he says is dangerous.

And Moses Mwape another affected resident charged that authorities should ensure that fueling stations are constructed in places outside residential areas.

Meanwhile, Energy Regulations Board Director for licensing Naomi Fulaza said the board is aware of the trend but was quick to mention that it only issues fueling licenses to clients that meet stipulated standards.
