The illegal sell of alcohol at the entrance of the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) in Lusaka has raised concerns among members of the public.
Clarence Muzyamba who is Zambia Empowerment Hub for Entrepreneurship and skills training (ZEHEST) Executive Director told Komboni radio news in an interview that it is disheartening to see the mashrooming mini bars commonly referred to as Shabins outside a facility meant for treatment of patients.
Mr. Muzyamba pointed out that as a result of the influx in the illegal drinking places outside UTH, some patients have been spotted consuming alcohol a situation he says is a public health concern.
Mr. Muzyamba has since appealed to the Lusaka City council to quickly swing into action and see to the closure of the illegal bars
