The Development Aid from People to People in Zambia (DAPP) has implored commercial sex workers to prioritize taking Pre-Exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) treatment to reduce their chances of contracting HIV/AIDS.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Komboni Radio News, DAPP Resource Mobilization Officer Jabes Kanyanda noted that commercial sex workers are at high risk of contracting HIV and Aids due to the nature of their job and as such should protect themselves by taking the Pre-Exposure treatment.
Mr. Kanyanda also highlighted that the government through the Ministry of health recently launched the injectable Pre-Exposure prophylaxis treatment which can be accessed at any health facility adding that those with multiple sexual partners should equally Take advantage.
He further urged discontent couples to equally take advantage of the Pre-Exposure prophylaxis treatment, so they do not transfer HIV to their partners.
