Traders at Lusaka s Kabwata Market whose shops are not connected to the ZESCO generator are wondering how they are going to payback their empowerment loans as their businesses are at the verge of collapsing owing to the current load shedding.
One of the affected traders only identified as Bwalya who trades in Vegetables lamented that clients are no longer buying in bulk as they have no where to store their vegetables leaving her business in total jeopardy.
Others who trade in fish charged that they have abandoned their business as they can barely access the 3 hours of power that the power utility company allocates to store their fish.
The aggrieved traders have since appealed to the power utility company ZESCO to allocate more hours of power to the marketeers in order for them to payback the loans
The traders aired their grievances to Komboni radio news in separate interviews.
