Kabesha Livestock Traders Decry ZESCO’s Prolonged Power Outages.

Traders at Kabesha livestock market in Lusaka have expressed disappointment at ZESCO’s failure to stick to the normal hours of loadshedding.

Lamenting to Komboni radio news in an exclusive interview, Kabesha livestock market Chairperson Kosen Mooya charged that the market experiences power outages for a period of up to 3 days which results in marketeers disposing off their carcasses which succumb to the power outages.

Mr. Mooya wondered why a well-recognized market like Kabesha which deals mostly in fresh meat products can be left in total darkness for days stating that several businesses are now at the verge of collapsing.

Mr. Mooya has since appealed to the power utility company ZESCO to consider following its normal schedule of power disruption so as not jeopardize the free flow of business at the trading center.
