THE information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia-ICTAZ-has lauded the Government's commitment in ensuring that technology innovations are implemented in the mining sector to promote safe mining.

Speaking in an exclusive Interview with Komboni News, ICTAZ-President Dr. Clement Sinyangwe is hopeful that, with technology innovations in the mining sector records of mine accident, which is common among illegal miners will become a thing of the past.

Dr. Sinyangwe further noted the need to have machine learning which enables computers to learn from data and make decisions or predictions without being explicitly programmed to do so, while stating that this will enable it to predict a calamity or disaster and also the safety of the site mining activities are being conducted.
